Details: This booklet was published by the BBC in 1957. ‘Time and Tune’ was a BBC schools radio series that started in the 1950s, covering music for primary school pupils. Programmes were accompanied by illustrated booklets containing the words and music for the featured songs.
The illustrations in this booklet were created by Derrick Hass (1928 -2006), who mainly worked as a poster artist in the 1950s and 60s, creating illustrations for clients including BOAC, the GPO and British Railways. He went on to have a highly successful career in advertising for four decades, working as an art director at several agencies.
