Details: This c.1950s party recipe booklet was produced in England by Fyffes to promote their bananas.

As with many promotional recipe booklets from this time, the dishes lean heavily on novelty value - ‘Banana Mushrooms’ (bananas in jelly with meringues stuck on top), ‘Bananas in the Snow’ (bananas lying on a bed of jelly and sprinkled with dessicated coconut and cherries) and ‘Banana and Bacon Rolls’ (bananas rolled in bacon, with mustard and melted cheese) are particular highlights.

The artist is uncredited.
