Don’t Be Vague, Ask for Haig (c.1970s)

Year: Undated (c.1970s)

Format: Booklet

Illustrator: Uncredited (possibly Astrop/Hill Associates, unverified)

Client: Haig

Details: This food and drink recipe booklet promoting Haig whisky is undated but looks c.1970s.

The character in this booklet is called Haggis MacHaig. The booklet expands on his backstory, which tells of him carrying Scotch whisky to every corner of the world. His recipes, include 'Chilled Haig Grapefruit', 'Paella Haig' and 'Haig Guacamole'.

The artist is uncredited. However, the style reminds me a lot of the 'Booze' book illustrated by Eric Hill and John Astrop.
