Details: This stamp was released in Israel in 1967, as part of a series celebrating International Tourist Year. The designs were created by Asher Kalderon (1929-2018), a graphic designer and artist born in Bulgaria.

Emigrating to Israel in 1948, he created many works for government and public institutions. His designs appeared on posters, leaflets, stamps and logos. He worked as a lecturer in many art and design schools in Israel, as well as exhibiting his artwork around the world.
