Details: This 1963 dust jacket for 'Live Now, Pay Later' was designed by Anne Hickmott.

Anne Hickmott (b. 1935) was born in Tunbridge, Kent. She studied at Tunbridge School of Art and Crafts in 1951-1955 and the Royal College of Art in 1951-1958.

Hickmott was a typographer who worked with BEA, BOAC, British Railways and various coach companies. She also illustrated a 1959 'Boat Races' poster for London Transport which featured in the 2017 'Poster Girls' exhibition. In addition to this, she designed book jackets and was a graphic designer for the BBC.

Hickmott lectured at Regent's Polytechnic/Poly of Central London/University of Westminster. She went on to become a successful printmaker and was a trustee of the Art Workers Guild between 2002 and 2005.
