Packed With Goodness From End to End - Weetabix (c.1950s)

Year: c.1950s

Format: Print Advert

Illustrator: Tom Eckersley (1914-1997)

Client: Weetabix

Details: I noticed this c.1950s magazine advert for Weetabix had a little signature in the top left corner - a closer look revealed it is by Tom Eckersley (1914-1997).

Eckersley worked as a designer from the 1930s until the 1990s, during which time he designed for a wide range of clients including London Transport, Gillette and Worldwide Fund for Nature. He also established the first undergraduate graphic design course in the UK at the London College of Printing, where he was Head of Graphic Design for 20 years.
