Beltrán Bofill was born near Barcelona and lived in Catalonia throughout his life. He studied at both the Escuela Superior de Artes de San Jordi and the Oficio Casa Lonja. He produced oil on canvas paintings in a figurative Impressionist style. He held solo exhibitions in many places including Barcelona, Paris, New York and Tokyo.
Beltrán Bofill also produced commercial illustration, particularly for book covers, under the pseudonym Noiquet (or Portada Noiquet). His work included several pulp thriller books, the Spanish language covers for several Agatha Christie titles and the Sherlock Holmes series. Working in watercolour and gouache on artists board, some of the artwork is reminiscent of Robert McGinnis.
