Kabuki Room and Bougainville Room Menu - Continental 747 (c.1970s)

Year: Undated (c.1970s)

Format: Folder

Illustrator: Uncredited

Client: Continental Airlines

Details: This Continental Airlines menu is undated but appears to be from the early 1970s. It was contained in a folder from a 747 flight.

The Kabuki Room and Bougainville Room were names given to coach class on the Continental 747.

The artwork is unsigned but looks like it could have been created by the same artist who illustrated posters advertising Continental flights to Hawaii in the late 1960s (also uncredited).

An advert for Continental Airlines’s “Celebration” advertising campaign in late 1960s featured a similar style and was illustrated by Nicolas Sidjakov (1924-1993).
