Details: This illustration for a buvard advertising Radiola was created by René Ravo (1904–1998). The image is also featured on a poster which was printed c.1950.

Ravo was forced to make a living after the untimely death of his father, leaving his design studies and taking up car mechanics. Through this work he came into contact with advertisers and created industrial maquettes for them, using his mechanical knowledge.

He went on to work for advertising agencies before setting up his own creative studio, designing posters for Loterie Nationale, Gaumont cinéma and BP.
